My First Day

about

All proceeds go to Southern Poverty Law Center

After witnessing America's humiliating slide toward fascism Wiscon asked the question "What would we do if we were in charge?"
The answer came roaring back as their latest single, the proceeds of which will be donated to Southern Poverty Law Center - the best way the band feel they can fight hate groups.
It was recorded on Dec 30th by the legendary Conrad Uno (Presidents, Murder City Devils, Mudhoney...) at Egg Studios in Seattle and mastered by Jamie King. It has the band's usual focused, joy-wave sound but this time the sweet vocals carry a message:
"I'd end the war on women and reassure our children that they are safe in their own land"

lyrics

And when it's all to much, I dream it...
If I was President, Believe it...
My first one hundred days, don't fear it.
I sing this song for you, I sing it.

Whoa-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
You know I speak for you and
You know I fight for you and
Whoa-oh-oh-oh (On my first day)
Oh-oh-oh-oh (and every day)
No one is made a villain,
Because of race, creed or religion.

I sing this song for you,
When fear crushes you.
When hate is all you hear, I sing it.
If I was President I'd end it.

Whoa-oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh-oh
You know I speak for you and
You know I fight for you and
Whoa-oh-oh-oh (On my first day)
Oh-oh-oh-oh (and every day)
I wont stop until we all feel
That everyone is equal

And I'd end the war on women
And reassure our children
That they are safe in their own land...

Whoa-oh-oh-oh (On my first day)
Whoa-oh-oh-oh (and every day)
I sing this song for you, I
I sing this song for you, I
Whoa-oh-oh-oh (On my first day)
Whoa-oh-oh-oh (and every day)
